Set of Six Elm Cottage Dining Chairs c.1840

Delightful set of six Welsh cottage dining chairs in elm c.1840. Low backs, tapering slightly toward the seat, with straight top rails and four slim reeded spindles. Over unusual curved single piece board seats (height at the centre 16"). With tapering square front legs joined to the rear stiles with stretchers to all four sides. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
