Four Bentwood Bistro Dining Chairs by Codina c.1900

Set of four Thonet style bentwood bistro dining chairs by the Codina c.1900. Curving backrests with four straight spindles between bentwood stretchers. 14½" diameter circular seats with a lovely Art Nouveau style printed decoration of irises and rushes rising from water. Rear stiles and front legs curing outwards for stability and joined with crossed stretchers for strength. Maker's stamp to the underside of each chair. Wear to the seats, otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
