Walnut Parquetry Drawer Leaf Dining Table c.1930

Very impressive French walnut parquetry drawer leaf dining table c.1930. 84" x 39½" table to seat up to ten people with 33" long leaves extending from each end to make a total length of 12'6" to seat four (or even eight) more. Geometric pattern parquetry work top with inlaid rosewood border set within a solid walnut frame with shaped ends and a moulded edge. The decoration is repeated on the leaves. Walnut base with a shaped and carved apron featuring scallop detail, and curving legs with acanthus carving and scrolling feet. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
