Set of Eight Os de Mouton Dining Chairs c.1930

Good set of eight French 18th.c. style Os de Mouton (or mutton bone) dining chairs c.1930. The name refers to the shape of the legs and stretchers. High padded backs and sprung seats (height 18½") upholstered in a pale blue fabric woven with a repeated leaf motif in gold and with brass studs to the edges. Sturdy beech wood frames with shaped legs joined with shaped stretchers to the front, sides and centre. Good condition with clean covers.
