Scottish Baronial Style Table Top Dinner Gong c.1890.

Late 19th.c. Scottish baronial style table top dinner gong c.1890. 9″ diameter brass gong with hammered or repoussé textured surface. Hung on a stand made from two highland cattle horns with white metal mounts and joined with a ball finial. On an oak base with moulded edge and stands for the clapper. Alternatively the clapper can be hung from the little hook at the front of the finial and easily swung to sound the gong. Excellent condition.
