Rosewood Sewing Table c.1870

Mid 19th.c. rosewood sewing table or work box c.1870. Octagonal top with a thumb moulded edge. Opens to reveal a fitted interior with original lining paper and silk, featuring small compartments for threads etc, around a central well with an octagonal lid. Carved apron, over an octagonal body tapering toward a carved collar and turned stem. Raised on carved tripod legs. Some wear to the interior. Very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
