Pair of Large Marble Cassolettes c.1900

Fabulous pair of large French brass mounted marble cassolettes c.1900. Standing 18" tall, Classical baluster form bodies in highly figured green marble with separate lids over pierced tops and raised on square plinth bases. With extensive and original gilded brass mounts cast as goat heads and floral garlands, acanthus finials and a leaf detail above the stems. Presented as found in very good original condition.
