Pair of Cherry Wood Armchairs c.1820

Pair of French Empire cherry wood open armchairs c.1820. Gently curving backs with rounded top rails and a padded centre. Shaped arms with reeded fronts and carved papyrus leaf detail where the arms meet the rear stiles, raised on carved supports. Bow fronted webbed seats on square legs with a slight curve at the foot for stability. Some earlier repairs and restorations. A few minor marks to the upholstery. Generally very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
