Italian Painted Terracotta Bust of a Renaissance Lady

Beautiful 20th.c. painted terracotta bust of a Renaissance lady c.1960. Head and shoulder length bust of a young woman in a simple headdress and costume without jewellery or decoration. Raised on a separate plinth with fleur de lis frieze, also in terracotta. Polychrome painted finish. Stamped Made in Italy on the rear of the bust together with rather indistinct maker's stamp featuring a laurel wreath. Excellent condition.
