Large oil painting of Dutch fishing boats at sea c.1930. Three boats with traditional brown sails in a lively sea under broken cloud, with other sails on the horizon. Note the figures in the nearest boat hauling in nets. Painted in a loose style in oil on canvas. Signed M. Vantyghem in the lower left corner. Some minor damage to the left hand side of the canvas. Presented as found on a simple wooden stretcher.
