French Oak Trumeau Mirror with Tapestry Panel c.1880.

Late 19th.c. French oak framed trumeau or overmantle mirror with unusual tapestry panel c.1880. Just over six feet tall. Moulded solid oak frame with particularly nicely shaped and carved detail to the horizontal rails. Original embroidered tapestry upper panel featuring a pair of Classical lovers sharing a bunch of grapes in a garden. Over a 25″ x 29″ lower panel fitted with a mirror plate. Some wear and tarnish to the mirror, otherwise excellent condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
