Oak Kneehole Desk c.1890

Good quality late 19th.c. oak kneehole writing desk c.1890. Top featuring a green tooled leather work surface and two raised pedestals each with a pierced brass gallery over a small stationery drawer. A gallery of turned oak spindles to the back edge between the drawers and thumb moulded edges. Over nine drawers arranged around a good sized kneehole (width 20", height 23"). Oak drawer fronts with tram track detail, each retaining the original brass handles. Fluted uprights and a lovely carved palmate detail between the top drawers. Raised on short turned legs with original ceramic castors. Excellent condition, fitted with a new leather skiver, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the main drawers.
