Art Nouveau Oak Bureau Plat & Chair c.1900

Superb Art Nouveau oak desk or bureau plat c.1900. 59" x 31" top with a green leather work surface and a moulded edge. Over three drawers across the top, plus a deeper drawer to the right hand side and a fall front cabinet to the left fitted inside with two sliding shelves (big enough for sheets of A4 paper) and with open shelves below. Large Art Nouveau brass handles and mounts to the drawer fronts. Note also the organic inspired lines of the legs and the shallow curve to the kneehole. Oak panelled sides and rear, polished all round. Solid oak drawer linings and slides. Excellent condition, fitted with a new leather skiver, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Sold together with a matching desk chair.
