French Empire Style Bureau Plat c.1960

Good looking French Empire style mahogany desk or bureau plat c.1960. 59" x 32" top with a tan leather work surface with Greek key tooling and a crisp moulded edge. Over three drawers in the front with brass lions mask handles to the outer drawers and an Empire style escutcheon to the larger centre drawer. Large Empire style brass mount to the rear of the desk. Knee height below the drawers 24". raised on curving X frame legs joined with a long turned stretcher and with brass paw feet front and rear. Some wear to the finish on the rear of the desk, otherwise very good colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied for the middle drawer.
