Narrow Walnut Bureau Bookcase c.1930

Unusually slim Queen Anne style walnut bureau bookcase c.1930. Just 22" wide. Small glazed bookcase top fitted inside with two shelves (internal depth 6"). Bureau base with a hinged fall supported on sliding loafers to make a writing desk with an oak fitted interior of pigeon holes and small stationery drawers. Two larger drawers below the bureau. Honey coloured English walnut veneers across the front and sides. Arched top moulded cornice with carved roundels and scallop detail at the centre. Shaped top to the glazing with raised and crossbanded mouldings. Serpentine shaped drawer fronts with brass drop handles and a shaped apron below. Raised on slim cabriole legs with carved detail to the knees and pad feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
