Marble Top Gueridon Centre Table c.1820
Very handsome early 19th.c. French marble top centre table or gueridon c.1820. Original 38″ diameter marble top with a slightly raised edge designed to prevent spilt drinks from running off the sides and a flame mahogany veneered apron below. On a flared tricorn base with slightly concave curved sides in matched flame mahogany veneers. Raised on superb carved claw feet with an Egyptian inspired papyrus detail at the sides and wooden wheel castors below. Some light scratches to the marble, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
