Large Persian Carpet

Large vintage Persian carpet c.1990. Very nearly 12 feet long by over 8½ feet wide. Superb garden pattern rug featuring a symmetrical design with a large central plant form surrounded by large plant and flower devices in vibrant colours against a rich red ground. With multiple contrasting borders also featuring plant motifs. Hand knotted with a thick soft pile. A short fringe at both ends and a small metal tag for the Belgian carpet retailers Grutman. Excellent condition with good even colour.
