Large French Cherry Wood Sideboard c.1800.

Superb early 19th.c. French cherry wood sideboard or dresser base c.1800. Very impressive pale slate top with canted corners and a rounded edge over three drawers and three cupboards, each with a single shelf inside (internal depth 19"). A particularly attractive example of the form with beautiful honey coloured cherry wood timbers to the front and sides and an elegant arch top centre door. Unusual turned drawer knobs with recessed surrounds, panelled doors with original brass escutcheons, locks and keys. Some old marks to the top, otherwise very good condition with particularly good original colour and patina. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
