Large Chest of Drawers by Shoolbred & Co. c.1910

Very useful large mahogany chest of drawers by the celebrated London makers James Shoolbred & Co c.1910. Solid mahogany top with a moulded edge over an unusually figured chest of drawers. Featuring a square hat drawer flanked with two smaller drawers on each side, over three long drawers of graduated height. Solid mahogany drawer fronts with carved 'tramline' detail and brass handles. Oak drawer linings, note the unusual panelled drawer sides. Solid mahogany sides to the cabinet and raised on an unusually moulded plinth. Maker's stamp and registered design number to the top of the centre drawer front. Some fading to the top, one replacement handle and three backplates, otherwise very good condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
