Gothic Revival Oak Hall Stand with Minton Tiles c.1870
Superb Gothic revival oak hallstand c.1870. 8 large brass hooks for hats and coats etc arranged around a central mirror with a bevelled edge, plus four more smaller hooks at the sides. Over a white marble top table with a single drawer below and flanked on each side with triangular stays for sticks and umbrellas with removable metal drip trays in the base. Above the table is a run of four ceramic tiles by the celebrated English makers Minton featuring designs by John Moyr Smith depicting characters from the medieval epic Morte d'Arthur. Moulded oak frame with carved detail, turned spindles and turned front supports. Original Gothic pattern brass hooks and drawer handles. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
