Gothic Carved Oak Cabinet c.1910

Extraordinary Gothic carved oak side cabinet c.1910. Two door cupboard fitted with a single shelf inside (internal depth 20") over two large drawers and sliding shelf below, for glasses perhaps. Exceptionally well carved door panels with blind Gothic tracery and heraldic devises plus decorative metal strap hinges and bolts. The carving is continued on the small centre panel, with pointed Gothic architectural pilasters between, and on the drawer fronts with lovely iron cross shaped handles. Raised on long moulded styles with carved and pierced detail at the corners of the apron and an amusing carved lute playing pig at the centre! The design is continued at the sides with carved linen fold upper panels. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
