Small Gilded Marble Top Console Table by Dienst of Paris c.1900

Smart little gilded marble top console table by the high end Paris makers E. Dienst c.1900. Just 28½" wide. Original marble top with projecting front corners, swept sides and a moulded edge. Gilded base with a finely carved and moulded frieze over front legs with scrolling acanthus tops and guilloche carved front edge, joined with a curved and moulded stretcher with carved finial at the centre. Raised on short tuned and fluted column feet. Original gilding, rubbed and worn through in places to reveal the red ground below. Large maker's stamp to the rear. Some minor wear to the edges of the marble otherwise very good condition.
