18th.c. Welsh Oak Box Settle c.1770

Beautiful 18th.c. Welsh oak box settle c.1770. Low back with four square raised and fielded panels with simple thumb moulded detail to the rails and mullions. Angled rear stiles and shaped arms on chamfered supports. Board seat lifting to reveal useful storage inside for boots and shoes etc. Three raised and fielded panels across the front below the seat, repeated as flat panels at the rear. Repairs to the bottom of both rear stiles and some replacement floor boards. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
