Gilded Girandole Mirror c.1890.

Fabulous late 19th.c. gilded girandole wall mirror c.1890. Designed to reflect and amplify candle light. With the original 14″ x 20″ oval mirror plate with a bevelled edge over a three branch candle sconce. Moulded gesso frame topped with garland of laurel leaves at the centre of which sits a chubby little putti. Some minor damage to the gesso, generally very good condition with the original gilt finish.
