Georgian Mahogany Wine Cooler c.1820

Delightful late Georgian mahogany cellarette or wine cooler c.1820. Flat lid (ideal as a side table) over a square cellarette with space for 6 large bottles, fitted with the original dividers. With brass handles to the sides and raised on short turned legs. Strikingly simple design with very little in the way of applied decoration allowing attention to focus on the lovely grain of the timber. Excellent condition with a working lock and key. Particularly good colour and patina, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
