Mahogany & Marble Top Console Table c.1840

Very handsome mid 19th.c. French mahogany and marble top console table c.1840. Useful small size, just 32½" wide. Original grey marble top with rounded corners and edges. Over a flame mahogany veneered base featuring an unusual double depth drawer. Moulded drawer front, the shape continued on the sides of the table, with symmetrically arranged veneers and a brass ring handle. Oak drawer linings. Raised on attractively shaped front supports joined to the straight rear stiles. Over an open plinth base with cupid's bow shaped front edge and moulded brackets and feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
