George III Mahogany Secretaire Chest on Chest c.1800

Very handsome George III mahogany secretaire chest on chest c.1800. In two sections with two short drawers over seven long drawers of graduated height. The top drawer in the base is a secretaire desk, with folding front and fitted interior of pigeon holes and small stationery drawers either side of a small lockable cupboard at the centre.
Slim crisply moulded cornice over solid mahogany drawer fronts with moulded edges and retaining the original heavy cast brass handles. Thumb mouldings to the waist and around the base. Raised on large bracket feet front and rear. Superior quality with solid mahogany sides and oak drawer linings. Very good condition with particularly good colour. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
