Splendid French Empire wall mirror c.1810. 20½" x 37½" arch top mirror plate within a mahogany crossbanded frame with Neo-Classical decoration. Carved cornice in gilt against a blue green painted ground, the colours repeated in the spandrels either side of the arch. Flanked with ebonized turned columns with chased brass mounts top and bottom. Chamfered inner edge and gilded moulding around the mirror. Ebonized trim along the bottom edge and raised on ebonized stepped plinth supports. Obvious tarnish to the mirror plate which could be replaced if preferred.
