Faux Bamboo Wardrobe c.1890

Superb late 19th.c. French faux bamboo wardrobe c.1890. Single door wardrobe with original full length bevelled dressing mirror, fitted inside with four adjustable shelves (internal depth 13"), over a single drawer in the base. With extensive applied beechwood decoration, turned and carved to resemble bamboo, contrasting with the highly figured and dark stained birdseye maple veneers. Decoration continues on the sides, note also the faux bamboo detail on the shelf fronts. Oak groundwork and backboards. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
Please note this wardrobe must be attached to wall to prevent it tipping forward when in use.
