Elm Dough Bin c.1820
Early 19th.c. elm dough bin c.1820. Originally designed for the mixing and proving of bread dough, ideal now as a rustic side table with storage inside. Flat (rather than panelled) top made from a single elm board. Over a tapering box (internal height 14½”) with a divider inside. Elm front and sides with an applied moulding around the sides and bottom edge of the front. Raised on good turned legs, splayed for stability and joined with stretchers to each side for strength. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
