Cherrywood Dresser Base c.1840

Superb mid 19th.c. French cherrywood dresser base or sideboard c.1840. Solid cherrywood top with cleated ends. Over three drawers and a three door cupboard fitted with a single long shelf inside (internal depth 20"). A lovely example of the form with shaped drawer fronts (continued on the sides of the cabinet) faced in highly figured cherry veneers. Note also the matching bookleaf veneers to the door panels and the original gilded brass escutcheons. Ogee moulded surround around the doors and a moulded plinth on slim pad feet. Excellent colour and condition, restored cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
