Burr Walnut & Marble Top Commode c.1860

Superb French burr walnut and marble top chest of drawers or commode c.1860. Original grey marble top with a moulded edge over four long drawers plus a fifth drawer hidden in the plinth. Particularly well figured burr walnut veneers arranged in a symmetrical pattern across the front. Shallow top drawer with shaped front (continued on the sides of the cabinet), the three deeper drawers below within a moulded surround. Walnut veneered sides. Repairs to the veneer around the escutcheons on the two lower main drawers. Otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
