Brass Framed Panel Picture of Joan of Arc c.1930

Stained wood and poker work panel picture featuring Joan of Arc, within a repoussé brass frame c.1930. Pictured at the coronation of King Charles VII of France in the great Gothic Cathedral of Reims Cathedral on 17 July 1429. Whilst the King kneels as the crown is placed on his head, St Joan with armour and sword gazes to heaven with a halo around her head. In painted and stained wood with some applied detail to the costumes. Within a superb frame of repoussé brass panels applied to the edges of the board featuring Gothic tracery details and inscribed in French with an explanation of the scene. Some minor wear, most obviously to the cloak of the king, generally very good condition.
