Arts & Crafts Oak Dresser c.1900

Exceptional Arts & Crafts oak sideboard dresser c.1900. Maker unknown but very much in the manner of Shapland & Petter of Barnstaple. Top featuring a wide overhanging cornice above bevelled mirror plate and open shelf flanked by slim cupboards on each side. Superb ebony and pewter inlaid panels to the doors with stylized Art Nouveau plant detail. Base with a shaped front and featuring a large drawer over an open potboard display shelf with an arched apron, also flanked with cupboard featuring smaller inlaid panels (to match the upper doors) over carved panels. Beautiful and original brass ware across the piece, note the heart shaped piercing to the point of each handle. Shaped apron between the legs with pierced detail repeated on the upper section and moulded feet. Oak sides and drawer linings. Missing a few very small pieces of the pewter inlay. Otherwise excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
