Alabaster Bust of a Renaissance Woman c.1900

Fine quality alabaster bust of a woman c.1900. Head and shoulders length bust of a young woman in a Renaissance style head cap with patterned border and large pearl droppers at the corners. Lovely naturalistic pose with the head turned to one side and the eyes cast downwards. Tunic, also with a patterned border to the neckline, carved from contrasting coloured and veined stone. Mounted on a white marble base. Very good condition.
