Marble Bust of a Woman by Cristofo Vicari c.1900

Early 20th.c marble bust of young woman by the Italian sculptor Cristofor Vicari (1846 - 1913) c.1900. Very well carved in white Carrera marble for the face and a grey veined marble used for the costume. A head and shoulders length bust of a young woman in a large bonnet with carved and coloured detail and a dress with unusual raised edge to the shoulders and front. On a matching base clearly signed C. Vicari on one side. Very good original condition with minor wear and a few small chips to the costume, no damage to the face.
