Kitchen Chopping Block Side Table c.1890

Late 19th.c. French provincial kitchen chopping block c.1890. Made from a massive 11" thick, 22" diameter section of elm riven with a wedge shaped split in one side. Raised on the original octagonal section chamfered legs, splayed for stability. Presented as found, dry and unwaxed with some holes in the top and pen marks around the feet.
