Small Parquetry Marble Top Commode c.1960

Neat little French Louis XV style parquetry chest of drawers or commode c.1960. Unusual small size, just 28½" wide. Lovely polychrome marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge. Over a chest of two drawers with bombe shaped front and sides. Chequerboard parquetry drawer fronts and sides panels, in alternatively laid kingwood veneer with inlaid stringing. Decorative brass escutcheons to the drawer fronts and large brass mounts to the shoulders and at the centre of the shaped apron below the drawers. Curving legs with brass mounts to the front feet. Oak drawer bases. A few old nicks to the veneers, otherwise excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
