Small Marquetry Inlaid Marble Top Commode c.1930

Sweet little French Louis XV style marquetry inlaid chest of drawers or commode c.1930. Useful small size, just 30" wide. Highly figured rouge griotte marble top with a serpentine shaped and moulded edge. Over a chest of three drawer with bombe shaped front and sides. Floral pattern marquetry inlaid drawer fronts and side panels, laid into tulipwood ground with a darker rosewood surround. Gilded brass handles and escutcheons. Large pierced and gilded brass mounts to the shoulders and a brass moulding running down the front edges of the cabinet. Shaped apron below the drawers with a brass mount at the centre and slim flared legs with brass mounts to the feet. Oak drawer linings. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
