Spelter Seabird Sculpture by Henri Lechesne c.1900
Beautiful sculpture of a seabird by the French sculptor Henri Lechesne (1811-1888) c.1900. Very well cast in spelter as seagull in flight over a dramatically cresting wave. Pale painted finish to the bird and excellent bronze effect to the wave. Clearly signed in the cast. Presented as found in very good original condition.
