Regency Mahogany Sofa Table c.1830

Handsome Regency era mahogany sofa table c.1830. Mahogany veneered top with a broad rosewood crossbanded edge laid onto solid mahogany groundwork. With two folding leaves held on hinged loafers. Over two oak lined drawers in the front, note the fitted interior to the larger drawer. With moulded and inlaid decoration to the drawer fronts which is repeated on the rear or the table. On lovely double column supports with turned and ebonised detail. Over inlaid plinths joined with a turned stretcher and raised on swept and reeded legs with brass paw feet and castors. Some very minor wear to the finish, generally excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
