Oil Painting of Monks & a Grape Picker c.1930

Amusing oil on on canvas painting of two monks and a female grape picker c.1930. In a Gothic courtyard Franciscan monks in their distinctive brown cassocks, skull cap and sandals, examine the harvest before young woman grape picker deposits the freshly picked fruit into a large barrel prior to pressing. Note the amusing detail of the umbrella and handbag carried by the shorter of the monks. Painted in slightly naive style in oil on canvas. With a large but indistinct signature in the lower right corner. Good condition, presented unframed on a wooden stretcher.
