Adjustable Reading Stand & Wine Table 1900

Superb combined reading or music stand and side table c.1900. Ideal for use beside a chair or bed. Featuring a mahogany book stand (14″ x 11″) with a raised bottom edge and brass page stays, angle adjustable with a ball and socket mechanism on rotating and articulated arm. Over a 15″ diameter circular table with a raised and moulded edge. Both elements are independently height adjustable a brass column which is itself also height adjustable – sliding within the reeded lower portion of the column. Topped with a smaller turned platform, also with a raised edge, probably to hold a lamp. Raised on a heavy cast iron base with claw feet and original black ceramic castors. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
