Mahogany Linen Press c.1830

Fine quality early 19th.c. mahogany linen press c.1830. Just 66" tall, built in two pieces with a two door cupboard top fitted with sliding shelves over a chest of two short and two long drawers of graduated height. Elegant uncluttered design free of almost any applied ornament save for the slim moulded cornice and the highly figured flame mahogany veneers used on the door panels. Attractively shaped sides to the slides, original turned drawer knobs and raised on the original turned feet front and rear. Original brass lock, latches and hinges. Mahogany slides and drawer linings, groundwork and cabinet sides. Some very minor wear, generally excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
