Burr Walnut Open Bookcase by Filmer & Sons c.1860

Mid 19th.c. burr walnut open bookcase by the London makers T.H Filmer & Sons c.1860. Open bookcase top with a reduced cornice and three adjustable shelves (depth 10"), over a deeper two door cupboard base with a single shelf inside (internal depth 13"). Simple uncluttered design with very little decorative detail other than the beautifully figured burr walnut veneers used across the front and sides of the piece. Large brass maker's badge inside the cupboard. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
