Naive Oil Painting of a Country House c.1880

Large painting in oil on canvas of a country house and gardens c.1880. A party dressed in fine historial costume are carried by gondola across a ornamental pond with fountain and swans in the garden of a Classical style country house set amongst wooded parkland. Painted in a charming naive style, note the skewed perspective of the house. Some minor wear and a patched repair to the back of the canvas. Otherwise good condition, presented unframed on a simple wooden stretcher.
