Large Persian Carpet

Very large Persian carpet, 12 feet long by just over 9 feet wide. Woven with a dense garden pattern symmetrically arranged around a central medallion, featuring beasts and birds amongst the flowers. Within a broad border with six bands of decoration and featuring a supplication to God in Islamic script at one end. Missing a portion of the tassel fringe at one end, otherwise very good condition with a soft pile and a good even colour.
