Wrought Iron Fire Basket & Andirons c.1900

Splendid large wrought iron fire basket and andiron set c.1900. Very sturdy fire basket (internal dimensions 18" x 9" x 9½") of bulbous form with a thick firebrick at the rear and on long iron bearers. Raised on a very good looking pair of wrought iron and brass andirons. Featuring 32" tall columns with brass pommel tops and brass plinths raised on wrought iron feet. Minor damage to one of the scrolls at the feet on one of the andirons. Otherwise excellent condition.
