Walnut & Marble Top Commode c.1870

French marble top commode chest of drawers c.1870. Original inch-thick marble top, beautifully figured in greys and pink, with rounded corners. Over a chest of four drawers. Walnut veneers arranged in a striking symmetrical pattern across the front. Shallow top drawer with shaped front continued on the sides of the chest, three deeper drawers below with large inlaid brass escutcheons. Solid walnut sides, slim plinth veneered to match and raised on shaped bracket feet with inlaid detail to the front. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Key supplied.
