Unusually Small Gueridon Centre Table c.1850
Unusually small mid 19th.c. mahogany and marble top centre table or gueridon c.1850. Just 32" diameter. Original grey marble top, the edge moulded with a border of concentric rings designed to stop spilt liquids from running over the sides. Over a mahogany veneered apron (with oak groundwork) and raised on a reeded urn shaped pedestal with a turned stem and reeded plinth. Empire style tripod legs carved with scrolling acanthus detail and large paw feet. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
